Important Family Guidelines: Tuition Refunds, Gear Responsibility, and Student Funds

Refund
Policy

Students enrolled at the Academy at SOAR are expected to complete the full academic term. If a student withdraws or is dismissed before the term ends, the unused portions of tuition, fees, and costs are non-refundable, and the family remains responsible for paying the full amount for the term. However, if a family cancels enrollment within seven (7) days of signing the agreement and before the first day of school, all payments will be refunded except for the non-refundable registration deposit.

Respecting
Equipment

We take care to ensure that all equipment is used responsibly, and we expect students to do the same. If SOAR property—such as tents, cabins, rental vans, or other gear—is damaged due to negligence or failure to follow guidelines, the student may be charged for the cost of repair or replacement. Parents will always be informed if such a situation occurs.

Spending
Money

Students are required to come to the Academy at SOAR with access to a debit account funded with $1,200 ($600 for the Fall Term and $600 for the Spring Term). These funds are used to help teach budgeting, accountability, and real-world money management skills.
