At SOAR, we understand the unique needs of individuals with ADHD, which is why we’re dedicated to providing a transformative experience that fosters growth, confidence, and connection. Our California location offers the perfect backdrop for exploration, from serene lakes to towering peaks, providing an ideal setting for campers to discover their potential and thrive. Our program, the CA Expedition, is a satellite camp where participants tent camp throughout the entire course. The journey begins in the vibrant city of San Francisco, where campers come together at Sunset Beach campground for teambuilding and fun activities. From there, they’ll embark on a series of adventures, including exploring the Monterey Bay Aquarium, participating in a sea kayaking adventure, and discovering the wonders of Yosemite National Park.
But the adventure doesn’t stop there. Campers will travel to South Tahoe to prepare for their exploration into the backcountry, learning essential skills like expedition planning and organization as they pack their backpacks and chart their course. And let’s not forget about the rock climbing portion of the trip, where campers will work on goal setting and problem-solving skills amidst California’s stunning landscapes. The course concludes with a thrilling whitewater rafting trip down the American River, followed by a final night of celebration to honor the hard work and achievements of each camper.
